Our involvement in Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah focuses on the custom-designed prayer hall carpet, created exclusively to complement the mosque’s refined architectural language. Departing from the traditional approach where saf (prayer rows) are defined by visible lines, this design introduces a subtle reinterpretation — the saf is expressed through a delicate trim integrated into the carpet’s surface.

This minimal yet purposeful detail enhances the sense of openness within the prayer hall, allowing the carpet to blend seamlessly with the mosque’s geometry and the natural play of light. The result is a design that reflects unity through subtlety, echoing the spirit of modern Islamic elegance envisioned by GDP Architects.
